About Jeff
Jeff is a handsome young man of only 18 months on the lookout for a forever home. Jeff currently lives with children that he adores. However, Jeff is a boisterous young giant pup and needs more time and training than he is able to receive so far in his short life.
He’s an affectionate, playful, and most beautiful young Great Dane that any Dane owner with the experience and time, would love to have in their lives.
Jeff lived with other dogs when he was a small pup, however he hasn’t socialized with other dogs much at all in his life since so will need to begin this again slowly.
It will be a learning curve for Jeff to be left alone in a new home, but we find this is always achievable with some planning, patience, a nice long walk every day and activities to build the dog’s independence.
Jeff can no longer be around stock or chickens, and if he sees a kangaroo, he’s off! Incomplete fencing has made keeping Jeff contained extremely difficult and he has learned to jump shorter fencing. Full 6 foot fencing is what he needs to keep him safe. He’s had no experience with cats so at the very least he will be extremely interested and mostly likely will need to kept separate from any cats in a home.
Like most young Great Danes, Jeff is unsure at first when meeting new people. He can get quite excited, needs a little time to take everything in and have a sniff, before becoming more relaxed. Well, as relaxed as an 18-month-old giant puppy can be.
Jeff hasn’t had any lead training and in fact learned to chew through a lead.
Now is the time for Jeff to find his perfect forever home.
Are you:
1. Experienced with big dogs, ideally Great Danes?
2. Got lots of energy and enthusiasm to enjoy a new best friend?
3. Prepared to do the hard work for the next 6 months with training Jeff so you can both reap the rewards, and he can live his fullest life with you?
If this sounds like an adventure you’re ready to embark on with Jeff for him to become a permanent member of your family, please get in touch.
