About Boss
Sadly Boss is not coping in the kennel environment đ˘
We need to find him a safe home in 2 weeksâźď¸
Boss is a Dogue de Bordeaux mix who has been residing as an only dog and shows extreme loyalty to his human. His previous owner's health has deteriorated and can no longer look after him.
Sadly Boss hasn't had the best life and needs a person or couple who will have patience and take time with him.
We have had Boss in kennels for the last few months where all the staff love him and do their best for him, but he is unhappy & getting a bit fed up in environment, with pacing etc.
Boss needs a quiet home;
Ideally on acreage ?
Not a busy home ...
Boss is feeling a little lost since coming into care and can take awhile before trusting and warming up to strangers. Beneath his caution, is a simple pooch that just wants to please his family.
Boss enjoys his walks and does well on a halti collar. He otherwise has a great level of basic obedience knowing to sit, lay down and shake hands.
Boss is used to being home alone for periods of time and does not exhibit any destructive behaviours. He was spending his days outside exploring the yard and enjoyed coming in of an evening to be included with the family.
Given his size, he is seeking an adult only home where he can be their one and only. Boss truly is seeking a best friend whom he can share his affectionate and loyal nature with.
If youâre experienced with larger breeds, have the patience and structure to help Boss come out of his shell then we would love to hear from you.
For now Boss needs are:
â best as only dog
â No cats đâ
â No kids â
Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
