Medical Notes - Pie will be ready to leave our care in 4 weeks time, once he has had his desexing procedure and his second kitten vaccination.
Sweet little Pie is ready to start searching for his forever family. He arrived into care at 2 weeks old with his sister Chips. They were dumped at a local emergency vet with another older litter right before Christmas.
When Pie arrived into our care he had infections all over his body causing him to have a raging fever. Pus like discharge was coming out of the tops of his feet, paw pads, genitals, nose, and back of his legs. He was treated with antibiotics and fluids and he made a full recovery over about 2 weeks.
Pie is a sweet and outgoing little man who has been handraised since 2 weeks of age. He is very affectionate, cheeky, and playful. He is currently still with his sister Chips, and can be rehomed as a pair or to a home with another friendly cat for company. Pie is currently untested with dogs and children, however he would settle into a new home who had either/both if they were gentle and relaxed.
Pie is available for PRE adoption, and will be ready to leave our care in approximately 4 weeks time. He has an appointment to have his desexing, microchipping, and 2nd vaccination around this time so he is ready for his new family.
Please get in touch if you would like to meet with Pie. ❤️
Adoption details
If you would like to know more information about any of our rescue animals, our rescue group, or to arrange a meet and greet, please email us. Please provide us with your name, email address, contact number, and some information about yourself, and the home you have to offer one of our rescue animals.
About us:
Gary and the Handicats Rescue is run soley by a Vet Nurse who works shift work and also cares for sick and high needs rescue animals. We strive to get back to you within 24 hours, but during busy kitten seasons there may be a delay. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Please note we do not run on a "first in first served" basis. We screen applicants well before proceeding with adoption. Vet and rental references may be required for certain special needs adoptions.
We receive a large amount of interest in our handraised kittens, and certain special needs animals. Please understand that if you're application isn't successful, this may just be due to the amount of applications we have had for that particular animal, and not because of the home you have to offer. Preference is always given to our past adopters.
Meet and Greets:
• Meet and greets are held in an environment where the particular cat or kitten feels most comfortable.
• Please do not bring your own animals to a meet and greet.
• We do not allow any of our animals to be taken home on the day of the meet and greet. Special circumstances may be considered.
Picking up you're new family member:
• You MUST bring a safe, secure, and size appropriate carrier for your baby to travel home in. We do not have carriers to provide new adopters, and we will not send home one of our rescue animals in a cardboard box or a washing basket. If a carrier isn't able to be provided, your adoption will be cancelled.
