Well your search is over, here I am my name is Miss Penny.
I enjoy running around the back yard when it not too hot and sometimes if i am bored I will chase the birds away.
Car rides are not a problem for me, I sit quietly in my doggy bed on the back-seat and walk nicely on my lead when we arrive at our destination.
I am a little wary of strangers when I first meet them, but warm up fairly quickly with yummy teats (specially chicken ones)!>
I'm protective of my humans when we're at home and much prefer adults toor older children who understand how to handle dachshund with care. (in my previous home there was 2 little children and they did not handle me properly they were not cruel but tried to pick me up badly and poke me a lot.
My current humans (foster carers) play hide and seek and do zoomies with me.
I don't have a special toy, but my favourite toys are the ones that squeak and I can shake.
At night I sleep on the bed with my humans, I like to be near humans more than dogs but I do hare the bed with 2 other dachshunds.
I am pretty, I'm smart and I don't each much however I will sneakily eat your food if I can reach it.
Once a day I eat kibble and veggies, but my human Grandad gives me bits of cheese for supper sometimes as a treat.
I am the perfect companion for someone home most of the time as I really prefer company.
