Meow! Hi there, lovely human! I'm Panettone, your purr-fect companion in this big, wide world.
First things first, let's talk about my adorable tortoiseshell looks. I mean, come on, have you ever seen a more charming kitty? My fur is a beautiful blend of browns, oranges, and creams, just like a delicious pastry (hence my sweet name)! And oh, my disposition? Top-notch! I've got this magical ability to switch between two modes: play and sleep.
Now, when it's playtime, you better be ready for some serious fun! But don't worry, I'm not one of those wild and crazy types. Nope, I've got manners, my dear human. I play gently and gracefully, like a ballerina chasing after her favorite toy mouse. And if you've got another cat in the house, well, let's just say I've got diplomacy skills that would put even the best diplomats to shame. I get along swimmingly with my fellow feline friends.
But let's talk about my sleep mode, shall we? Ah, there's nothing quite like snuggling up in a warm lap after a good play session. Once I'm done, I transform into the ultimate purr machine. Seriously, my purrs are like little drops of happiness, guaranteed to melt away any stress or worries you might have. So, if you're looking for a cuddle buddy, look no further!
Now, about my ideal home... I think I'd thrive best in an adult household or with older children. You know, humans who appreciate the finer things in life, like a good nap in the sun or a cozy night in with a good book and a furry friend by their side.

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
