About Alfred
Introducing Alfie
My name is Alfred, though I only respond to Alfie!
I like to keep busy and my favourite things are:
- playing with any toy I can chase and then chew
- Watching the computer screens when my foster humans work. Sometimes I help by showing them where the mouse is
- Running! I am small but can make a great thunder by sprinting up and down the hallway
- Playing in the wardrobe and walking on top of all of the clothes on hangers
- Food! I love my food so much and my foster humans say I need lots of it because I am a growing boy
- Humans! I love having lots of pats with my foster humans and just being around them is great. I still get excited when they are around so I haven’t learnt to cuddle them peacefully yet. Who needs quiet calm cuddles when instead you can walk up and down on the human while purring loudly?
Things you need to know about me are:
- I’m still young so I am very busy and like to play and explore. I’ll need some safe kitten spaces to live when not supervised to make sure I don’t get into any mischief
- I am curious but cautious. I might get a scare when faced with something new like the sound of a lawn mower. But after a a few seconds of hiding to think about it I will come out again to investigate.
- Because I am young I am still learning what I can bite and where to use my claws. While I have been learning to settle around my foster humans I sometimes like to give them a little nibble instead of a smooch. I am also learning that climbing up my foster humans like they are a tree is something they don’t like.
- I am living around a dog and a cat. I’m a little unsure of the dog but I’m interested in the cat. Given time and plenty of safe spaces I think I can learn to like being around both dogs and cats
- I need to live in a home where all my kitten needs to run and play can be met without going outside. This is to keep me safe and all the wildlife safe.
We estimate Alfred to be around 12 weeks old, he has had his first vaccination and booked in to be desexed very soon!
If you think you and your home would be a match for this playful baby, please send us a message telling us a little about yourself and the life you could share with him.
Alfred is up to date with flea and worming treatments. Alfie is microchipped, vaccinated and booked in to be desexed.
His adoption fee is $300 and is in foster care at Moorooka - Brisbane.
He is not available for interstate adoption.
Thank you 💕

At The Mini Rescue, we strive to make the adoption process as seamless as possible. We understand that bringing a new pet into your home is a big decision that will enrich your life in countless ways. That’s why we’ve developed a clear, step-by-step guide to help you find your perfect match and provide a loving home for one of our precious animals. Our dedicated team is here to support you every step of the way, from your initial interest to the joyful day you bring your new friend home.
How to Adopt: A Step-By-Step Guide:
1. Browse Our Selection: Visit our Animals page and use the menu to view the various pets we have available. Choose between cats and dogs to narrow your search.
2. Expression of Interest: Found a pet that captures your heart? Reach out to us for an Expression of Interest (EOI) form to initiate the process.
3. Patience is a Virtue: We meticulously review every EOI to ensure each animal goes to the right home. Thank you for your patience during this critical stage.
4. Meet Your Potential Pet: If your EOI is approved, we'll organise a Meet & Greet session. It’s a great opportunity for both you and the animal to see if it’s a perfect match.
5. Adoption Application & Home Review: If you're ready to move forward, you'll need to complete our adoption application and agree to a home review.
6. Review & Approval: Your application and home review will be assessed to guarantee a secure, loving environment for your potential pet.
7. Adoption Fee: Upon approval, you'll be required to pay the non-negotiable adoption fee. This fee directly supports our animal care efforts.
8. Welcome Home: Once the fee is processed, we'll coordinate the special day when you can bring your new pet home.
