About Custard - Located in Kew
Hey there, fabulous humans! The name's Custard, and let me tell you, I'm not just your average cat—I'm a handsome, smoochy boy with a heart of gold and a penchant for all things cozy and cuddly!
First things first, let's talk about my social skills. I'm like the mayor of Flufftown, population: everyone! I make friends faster than you can say "treat time," and you'll usually find me strutting my stuff and mingling with my fellow felines. Yup, I'm a kitty socialite, and I take my role very seriously.
But hey, don't think I'm all about the cat cliques. Oh no, I'm also a big fan of the two-legged creatures known as humans! I'm all about those cuddle sessions and chin scratches, and I'll gladly jump into your lap for some quality bonding time. I mean, who can resist these charming whiskers and irresistible purrs?
Now, let's talk about the real love of my life: food. Ah yes, I'm a self-proclaimed food enthusiast, a connoisseur of all things delicious. Treats, wet food, dry food—you name it, I'll devour it! Just don't try to sneak any veggies into my bowl, okay? A cat's gotta have standards, after all!
But wait, there's more! I'm also a big fan of gentle dogs. Yep, you heard that right! I'm not one to discriminate based on species. As long as they're cool with my cat antics, I'm cool with them.
Now, here's the cherry on top: my best buddy Shirley. We're like the dynamic duo of the cat world, partners in crime and masters of mischief. We go together like tuna and catnip, like whiskers and mischief!
So, if you're looking for a furry friend who's equal parts charming, cuddly, and downright adorable, look no further! Adopt me and Shirley, and get ready for a lifetime of laughter, love, and endless cuddle sessions. Trust me, your heart won't know what hit it!

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
