About Paddy
This is Perfect Paddy, a young male Border Collie x Kelpie. With the most fabulous temperament, Paddy is a delight. He is keen to meet everyone, and for everyone to give him their attention.
He’s not interested in livestock, but does like to bark at kangaroos – from a distance – and half-heartedly chase rabbits. He has barked to announce the presence of a fox, but did not give chase, preferring to growl from a safe distance! He’s not been exposed to cats but would most likely be happy to play and co-exist.
Paddy is very interested in the older dog at his foster home but he is also very independent – so, as long as he is kept busy, he’d most likely be ok on his own with his human family. He is toilet trained and is improving with basic commands. He responds well to No!, but he will definitely need ongoing dedicated training. He sleeps well in his crate through the night and is good on a lead.
Paddy is very energetic and needs lots of exercise and activities to stimulate his busy brain – or, if left unattended, he will focus on deconstructing whatever takes his interest: balls, pot plants, solar lights, firewood …! Lots of un-stuffed toys from the op shop are testament to this activity! And he loves water – troughs are great for a dip, as is the fish pond!
For anyone up for the challenge, Perfect Paddy will reward you with loads of affection. He’s a very gentle soul and is bound to steal your heart.
If Paddy sounds like the boy for you, please send in an application today!
Paddy is located in VIC.

We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa.
