About Zena
Zena is a very sweet little dog. She is extremely affectionate with her people and really just longs to be someone's special companion. She gets along with other smallish dogs but is untested with larger ones. We think so long as the larger dog was gentle, she would be fine. She is being fostered with cats and came from a home with cats. She keeps a respectable distance from them and is certainly not reactive. Zena has quite a combination of breeds (as reported to us) but she has certainly taken more so after her mother who was reported to be a Border Collie x Pomeranian. She has learnt to walk on a lead and will sit when asked. She sleeps overnight in a crate. She has learnt a lot about the world since coming into foster care and has really enjoyed getting out and about. Recently she attended a country show and even put in an appearance at our information stall. She really takes on these new experiences with interest, so long as she has a bit of reassurance from her foster parents. Zena is looking for a full time human companion who can continue to teach her about the world and extend her basic training. It is important to note ... the damage to the chair legs as can be seen in the photo was not done by Miss Zena, but a previous foster dog ... she is innocent!
