Meet Ellie!

After coming into The Home as a stray, I waited, and waited and no one came forward to collect me, during my time here the vets found that I needed further medical work before I could find my forever home, but it's very stressful here and I need the perfect family to help me settle while I wait further procedures.

At 6 years old I am a BIG goof, I will shower you with licks, it's my way of showing you I love you!

Here is where the special part comes in.... I am not yet ready for adoption, instead, I am looking for a foster family to foster me while I recover, in a warm and loving home, to then officially adopt me once the vet team has given me the all-clear!

At The Home, the vets performed surgery on my cruciate ligament to fix pre-existing damage, this is a big recovery for a large girl like me, and now they are saying I need the dentist!

The wonderful team at LDH will set up my vet appointments, provide you with ongoing recommendations regarding my recovery, and continually check in with you to make sure I am recovering well and happy in my home. Once I have that magical all clear, our adoption team will process my adoption so I can officially become yours!

My perfect new home would be one with secondary school-aged children or older, I am an energetic and jumpy girl, who may be suitable to live with another dog who can match my silly energy, but also help me learn some new skills. During my recovery period, my family will need to provide me with lots of mental enrichment to keep me calm and happy.
