About Tony
🐾 Hey there, Pawesome Pal! Meet the one and only TONY!
This absolute bundle of fur and joy is on the lookout for a forever home, and trust me, bringing Tony into your life is basically signing up for a year-long party! 🎉
Tony's the cool kid on the block, a mere 11 months old, and he's ready to settle down for his first-ever birthday bash. Picture this: confetti, treats, and the happiest border collie you've ever seen, learning to sit like a pro at BARC!
As a border collie, Tony's not just your average cute face; he's a canine genius itching to learn tricks to keep that brain of his entertained. Right now, he's like a blank canvas, soaking up all the training goodies at BARC. Sitting? Well, he's on the way to mastering it, and who knows what other tricks he'll pick up by the time you take him home!
Tony's not just a smarty-paws; he's an explorer extraordinaire. Picture you and him, conquering the world together, with Tony confidently strutting by your side, ready to embrace every new and exciting thing that comes your way.
If you've got older kids at home, Tony's all for it! He just insists on a meet-and-greet at BARC to make sure they're up for becoming his ultimate sidekicks. And let's not forget about his current playmate, Timmy. These two are the dynamic duo at BARC, running around, playing, and Timmy's giving Tony the 101 on proper doggie playtime.
This sweet-hearted fella is the full package. So, if your furry friend at home needs a new playmate, or you're just craving some unconditional love, Tony's your guy! 🐶💙
To book a meet and greet with Tony please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
