About Bobby **Now Adopted**
**update 30/3/11: great news! bobby has now been adopted** bobby's owner, who is terminally ill, can no longer care for his beloved pet. So he made what must have been a heartbreaking decision and surrended this beautiful dog to our local veterinary hospital in the hope that a rescue group like dabs could find a lovely new home for poor little bobby. Dabs is certainly more than willing to save bobby and support him until he can be rehomed. However, as we have an acute shortage of foster carers at present, we have no choice except to board bobby at the veterinary hospital. But we know that this isn't a very happy situation for this little fellow who has just been separated from his lifelong human companion of eight years. It's like his whole world has fallen apart and now he finds himself living in a cage! so we're making an urgent appeal to the kind, animal loving people who read these petrescue listings: is there someone out there who could offer bobby a lovely forever home? or at least provide the comfortable home atmosphere and the tlc he deserves, if only on a temporary basis as a foster carer until dabs can arrange something permanent for him?
bobby's owner has done all the right things for bobby in respect to annual vaccinations and regular check ups at the vets. Bobby is a very handsome boy. He's in excellent condition and appears very much younger than his eight years. He has a lovely white coat which has been very well maintained and recently clipped. It's obvious that he's been kept primarily as a little inside dog and would have always been allowed to sleep inside at night, maybe in his owner's bedroom. Bobby is very sweet and friendly towards people. And although he was the only pet in his former home, we understand he's o. K. (or at least he tolerates) being around other dogs. Naturally, we'll be aiming to place bobby in a new home where the conditions are as close as possible to those he's known in the past. And it's an absolute must that he goes to a home where the fencing is very secure and there are no areas that he could possibly escape from. If you are interested in bobby's story and would like to help, please contact gabrielle. Because of difficulties she's having with her computer, do not send emails but instead call her on (02) 9718-2169 (with message service). Thank you
