About Sammy
Hi are you looking for your new best friend?
That's me! I'm Sammy, I am a 3 year and 2 month old Pug who is looking for my new home!
I have retired from breeding now and looking for that home where I can settle and show my love.
My foster mum says I have a cute little bum wiggle that will worm its way into your heart and make you smile.
The rescue has taken such good care of me - they have made sure I have been desexed and had all my BOAS surgeries required to help me breathe (my breathing was really bad!) and they have been helping me with my stains on my face..... i'm getting the full service!
I think I am a super sweet boy who really loves my people - so yep you guessed it I need someone who is home more often not, works from home, is retired, is not needing to work etc etc you get the idea a homebody!!!
I very much need to be in a home where there is a routine and I will defintely help you stick to it - too many new situations or changes stress me out sometimes and i can be very needy for a few days while things settle back down.
I love life and i love people - I do take a minute or two to get comfortable around a new person, but once I do - I'm worth it!
Car rides are still a bit scary for me and I still need some help with my confidence walking on a lead somedays but other days I am all good and ready to go - it's just cause I haven't really experienced much of this before coming into care but now I'm loving it.
I am toilet trained - I haven't used a doggy door but all I need is for my human to show me once or twice (or they simply stand on the other side and I will find a quick way of accessing the door)
Baths can be a bit scary for me but I'm getting there and of course I'm a white pug so I do have pug 'glitter' that needs to be sorted - a gentle calm brush daily would help,
I am currently in care with other dogs of all sizes and ages and if I can be honest i would be very happy being an only dog or with one other that is not always in my face.
I am fine with kids - I live with a 10 year old boy
I would very much like to sleep with you at night in your bed - it just gives me comfort.
So if you’re looking for someone who will love you lots - apply to adopt me, I will make sure your life is full of love!

Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.
Please Note: We do not hold any animals so please only apply if you are ready to adopt now
Please note - We don't take calls on adoption enquiries - an application must be completed
We can also be found at https://www.facebook.com/pawprintscanine/
Complete the following adoption enquiry link

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
