Dipper is ready to find his forever home!!!

Dipper is an extremely timid German Shepherd who has faced challenges in his early days. This sweet boy is hesitant around new environments and may initially shy away from human interaction. He requires patient and understanding owners who can provide him with the space and time he needs to build trust; with gentle encouragement and a calm environment, he will slowly begin to come out of his shell.

Dipper will thrive in a quiet household where he can feel safe and secure, with daily routines that will help him feel more comfortable and confident. A secure backyard and regular exercise will contribute to his overall well-being. Dipper's potential shines brightest with owners who are willing to offer unconditional love and support as he learns to navigate the world around him.

Dipper would thrive as the only dog in the home, allowing him to receive the undivided attention he craves. Due to his sensitive nature, he is best suited for a home with adults only. He has also shown us that he is unsure of other canine pals - his new adopters will need to help him manage this (LDH staff can give you advice around this).

Dipper is still working on his basic skills, and his future family should be committed to providing ongoing training to help him reach his full potential. Positive reinforcement and tasty treats are his favorite motivators, making the training process both enjoyable and rewarding for him.
