Hello, my name is Meadow and I will have all the attention you can give me!
My four little kittens and I were living outside a local lady's house. I was very skinny and malnourished, and just a kitten myself, but I did my absolute best for my babies. SCA picked us all up, and although I had a microchip, my previous owners no longer wanted me and had given me away to an unknown person. With no one coming forward to claim me and my kittens, thankfully SCA looked after us with the love, care and attention we needed. I even took in an orphan kitten, it was like he was mine all along!
I had a tricky time after my desex and spent a lot of time visiting the vet. I didn't mind so much because it meant that I had my carer and the vet staff all to myself. I was very patient with all of the cleaning and medication that I had to take and I am happy to report that I am all healed up now!
I am pure love and very affectionate. 💗 I will follow people around the house, jump up next to them on the couch, and ask for my head, neck and chin to be scratched. Attention is like oxygen to me, and you'll hear me purring pretty much all of the time!
I love to spend time with other cats, playing with them and asking them to groom me. I have been fostered in a home with two large dogs that share the lounge room with me throughout the day. I've learnt to be happy in our shared space and am not afraid to let them know if they are too close. So, if you've got a respectful doggo at home, I'm sure we can learn to coexist if we're properly introduced. And to make sure your existing fur babies and I have the best possible start to our new life together, you'll get a nifty email from SCA Qld with resources for introducing me to my new fur sibling/s.
I quite enjoy catching flies (and the zoomies will certainly make you laugh!). I love using the cat scratcher to tend to my claws and for sitting up high. One of my fave toys is a tweeting toy bird that I like to tackle and clean. I'm a big fan of dinner and will happily accept treats, and my litter tray usage is great!
The wildflowers are blooming, and you could have the whole Meadow! I would love to love you if you'll let me. 💖
Love and purrs,
Meadow xo
Medical notes
Due to the national vaccine shortage, I have not yet been vaccinated against the core kitty diseases. SCA will arrange for my first vaccination to be completed at one of their vet partners when supplies are received back into the country. This is expected to be mid-April 2024.
I tested negative for FIV/FeLV and I have been an inside only kitty since. I should be kept inside or in an enclosure to keep me (and the wildlife!) safe and healthy.
