Hello. My name is Shay but my foster mum calls me Shady or Shady Bear. I love, love , love food and people. I follow my foster mum everywhere. I also love going for a walk in the pram and sitting in the car while we drive around the hood. My foster mum calls me cheeky because sometimes I think I’m the boss of the world and bark demanding attention but last night I spent 6 hours with my foster Grand Ma and she said I was perfect. Because I am a mature lady (14 years) I am not exactly spritely when I walk. Foster mum says I walk like a drunken monkey. Also because of this, I can’t navigate steps.
I am very good with my toilet training and sleep during the night. Some nights I sleep with foster mum and some nights I sleep on the floor in my bed . Because I love, love company so much I need someone who is home most of the time. I’m happy to be an only dog but I currently live with two other little dogs and 3 cats and I’m fine with that. I understand that i am very old, but im looking for that special person who doesn’t care about that and wants to give me a lovely retirement.
I promise that I will adore you and be your faithful friend.

Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
