About Sherbert & Sharla
Sherbert & Sharla: the greatest love story ever told! 💞
Names: Sherbert and Sharla (we’re a bonded pair)
Gender: Male and female
Date of Birth: Sherbert is 01/01/2023, Sharla is 08/03/2023
Breed: Domestic short Hair
Colour: Ginger, and Black & white
Location: Modbury North
Sharla was a prisoner in a dangerous place. 🙀 Getting out was only half the journey, the rest would be learning to trust again. Sherbert was a heartthrob who’d been hit by car and lost a leg. 😿 The pair met while in recovery and it was love at first sight. Sherbert made Sharla feel safe and Sherbert liked to make Sharla smile. They were instrumental in recouping from their traumas, and now the two can never be apart – they’re like Katniss and Peeta in the Hunger Games. 💘
Sharla has been hurt before and she will always probably be a little bit cautious. She will eat roast chicken from her carer’s hand and will have pats when Sherbert is next to her. 💗 Sharla likes to sleep in soft beds under chairs and tables, where she feels secluded and safe. She needs a patient home where she can relax and be herself without expectations or demands - and she needs to be with Sherbert.
Sherbert is a confident and smoochy boy who’s been through the wringer. He’d been hit by a car when we found him, and had to have his leg and some teeth removed in emergency surgery. Sherbert has scarring on both his eyes form the accident too but it doesn’t affect his vision – or his cheeky nature. Sherbert jumps on the table when he wants your dinner and sees nothing wrong with this at all. 😹 He’s a purry boy who loves pats and cuddles, and taking care of Sharla.
Sharla and Sherbert love each other. They play together, they groom, they cuddle and they sleep together. Just watching how happy they make each other will melt your heart. 😭
-People describe us as: Sharla is cautious and quiet, Sherbert is confident and boisterous.
-How are we with dogs? We get along with the terrier we’re currently staying with
-How are we with other cats? We like other cats and we looove each other
-How are we with kids? Sherbert is great with kids. Sharla avoids the toddler but doesn’t cause any drama.
-Our purrfect home is: Anywhere we can be TOGETHER
Sherbert & Sharla’s adoption fee is $120 for the pair which includes desexing, microchipping, parasite prevention, and initial F3 vaccination.

Medical notes
𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲
Sherbert lost his front leg following a car accident but the amputation went very well and has healed beautifully. He also has scarring to his eyes from previous injuries, but these have healed up and do not affect his vision. The vet has given Sherbert a clean bill of health.

Due to the nationwide shortage of cat vaccines, this pair has not been able to receive their initial F3 vaccination yet. The adoption fee includes coverage for an initial F3 vaccination at one of our partner clinics. As soon as vaccines become available again at our partner clinics, the adopter will receive an email notification from SACR to schedule the initial vaccination at no additional charge. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during these challenging times.
