About Chaps
*In foster care in Canterbury, Sydney*
Chaps is one of life's observers, preferring to sit back and watch before jumping into the fray. A total love bug once he's feeling comfortable, he'll climb into your lap when he gets sleepy and nod off before you can say 'Howdy, pardner!'.
This super sweetie blossoms in the presence and protective energy of his brother Cowboy, but he's getting braver every day :)
Like all Maggie's pets, Chaps is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will be quiet and serene, with space for prowling around and windows for checking out the scenery. My new human/s will understand that I'll need to settle in at my own pace, but will give me love and attention when I want it.
I find great comfort in other cats so I hope you'll have at least one of those waiting for me? If not, you might like to adopt me and my brother Cowboy together! Here's his profile: https://www.petrescue.com.au/listings/1020371
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Kitten! I'm full of enthusiasm when I'm playing with toys or my brother, but I also *love* sleeping (and will often lie on my back while doing so!).
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I get startled easily and tend to hide when I'm frightened, so gentle, older children (preferably (10+) would be my best match.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Cats are amazing - I definitely feel most confident when I'm in their company. I adore cuddling with my brother and purr happily whenever I see the resident kitty!
I haven't met any dogs at this stage.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
