About Poppy (On Trial)
Poppy is trying out a new home. . . Many more pets available at www. Dogrescuenewcastle. Com. Au dogs, pups, cats, kittens. . . . Poppy is 1 yo and is just full of wonderful puppy playfulness, but she is also very well trained! she spends her days following around her foster carers wherever they go, inside or out. Poppy has a wonderful gentle personality and loves to sit on your lap for a pat or will bring you her favourite toy if she feels like a game or two. . . Poppy was rescued from the pound and her foster carers have seen her blossom over just a few short weeks. They have already taught her basic obedience training. She can also do a few tricks for her favourite liver treats and is toilet trained. Poppy is very well trained and will happily sit on her mat when she is inside (unless she is curled up on your lap where she currently spends most of her evenings!). She will gladly go outside to sleep in her kennel at night at this time of year but she will need to sleep indoors during the winter. She is happy outside in her kennel during the day while her foster carers are away. . . Poppy is a silky terrier mix, with a lustrous, low shedding coat which won't get all over your furniture or clothes, but she will need regular grooming. . . . Because she is such a tiny little girl (weighing in at just 4 kilograms) poppy would not be suited to a family with young children, because they might hurt her. Poppy loves to run and play with other dogs so she would need to go to a home that has another relatively young dog so that they could play happily together. Poppy also enjoys going on walks and loves to go to the local park to explore and run around and often meets new play mates on her adventures. . . Poppy really is a fantastic dog who just has so much love to give! poppy is in foster care in muswellbrook (past singleton, in the upper hunter), but her foster parents are able to bring her to newcastle any time during weekends if you would like to meet her. You can contact them (russel, cheryle and amie) on 02-6543-4105 or 0409-994-084. . . *** please see more photos of poppy, and some of our other pets, at
