About Butch
Handsome Butch is 5 year old American Staffy a gentle soul who loves to be part of the family. He is well-mannered, follows basic commands, and waits politely for food and treats.
A bit of a goof-ball, Butch will toss his toys in the air and scamper after them, or roll around on the floor looking for belly rubs. He can get boisterous when excited, so should be supervised around young children. He has lived with children and pets, including dogs, cats, a goat and a horse!
Butch goes to bed at night without fuss and is content to relax during the day while you're busy - your return will be greeted with enthuisatic wiggles.
Butch loves going on his daily walks - he walks beautifully on his halti and is learning not to react to other dogs.
A loyal companion, Butch prefers to be indoors with the family. He is toilet trained, doesn't attempt to get on the furniture, and only chews his toys. He doesn't jump fences or dig.
With his beautiful nature and good looks, how could you not fall in love with Butch?
Likes: treats, walks, children, being brushed, napping, toys, being part of family activities, carrots, cuddles.
Dislikes: getting wet and other dogs barking at him.
Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
Please note all our cats are indoor cats only.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
