Diesel

***URGENT***

Late yesterday we were made aware of this gorgeous 7 month old boy called Diesel who is currently located in Brisbane.

Unfortunately, he fractured his leg just before Christmas and had a plate inserted however, due to multiple reasons the plate broke, he then went under the care of a different vet.

His owners faced 2 options - re-plating or amputation.

Long story short, they were not in a position to be able to continue with treatment, but thank goodness the vet convinced them to surrender Diesel to them!

This is when rescue comes together - he has had his surgery and a new plate inserted - but.....he has nowhere to go and the vet cannot keep him!!!

A vet nurse took him home for the night, but we need to find someone who can look after Diesel long term.

He requires 6 weeks strict crate rest (short leash walks for toileting). We will make sure he gets some sedation to keep him quieter especially initially.

Once recovered he will be ready for adoption, as always - if the foster carer and

Diesel are a good match they will get the first choice❤️

Can the BRNA community please, please come together and help Diesel??

Please also bear in mind that due to crate rest, it would be for the best, if there was no other dog around. He may become too over stimulated and we cannot risk something happening to his leg again.

Please help us help Diesel...this sweet boy deserves this second chance!
