About Flynn
Young Flynn has come to us from a shelter situation where he had been surrendered with a Staffy. Flynn has an intriguing appearance being an Akita x wolfhound, but if you look into those beautiful big brown eyes you can see his just wants your love.
He was initially frightened of just about anything or anyone new, and will need a very special owner with the experience and patience needed to make the world a less scary place for him.
He has been in foster care for some time now, and his amazing carer has worked wonders with introducing Flynn to new experiences, people and other dogs, but it’s a gradual process which his new owner will need to continue. Once he gets to know you, he will be your absolute bestie and will greet you with much excitement!
He loves his walks, playing with his toys and to run around the yard with his ball, and he’s happy to be in the house or outside. Because of his size and nervousness, any children would need to be older. He won’t be suitable for a home with cats or other small pets, but he might be okay with a calm and confident female doggy companion.
Flynn will need a secure yard, access to inside the home, daily walks, and ideally a new owner that has Akita experience who can help him on the path to gaining trust and confidence.
Flynn new home will require:
* Any children to be well into their teens
* No cats, pocket pets or other animals
* A home as an only dog or with a calm, confident female dog
* Daily walks, always on lead
* A reasonable sized yard with grass and undercover areas
* Access to inside the home
* Secure fences and gates at least 6 foot high
* Experience with Akita ownership is essential.
