About Daffy and Owen
Daffy and Owen are my special boys and I love them to bits. They truly are the most wonderful cats and they deserve the world.
They have being in care for 2 years now waiting for thier furever home and I am happy to continue waiting until that perfect someone comes along who will love them just as much as me and even more.
Owen the ginger Manx is around 5 years old and he is a fat ball of fun. He loves to play and will run and jump around the place, rolling across the ground and just having him self a merry good time. Owen is so gentle with his toys and really enjoys it when you sit and play cat wand with him. The first time I played with him he didn't know what a cat wand was and it was so heart warming when he finally figured it out because he was practically bouncing on the spot.
It's so fun to give Owen a cuddle as it's a bit like holding a beach ball that purrs. He is the most affectionate loving lad and always says hello with a chirp before smooshing him self against your leg and climbing onto your lap for cuddles.
Daffy the tuxedo is around 3 years old and he is the more independent wild child of the pair. He loves to have him self a good smooch session as well, but his priorities are the thrills of life.
Despite never really knowing what the outdoors is, he would make an amazing hunter. When ever you break out the cat wand Daffy shows off his amazing acrobatic jumping skills to catch the 'bird' and fiercely guards his prey. He absolutely loves getting his heart pumping with a fast paced play session. He is otherwise pretty chilled out for the rest of the time.
Daffy has the prettiest greenest eyes of any cat I've seen.
Daffy and Owen have a broken past and came from a cruelty case with over 100 sickly cats in a unit. They are brothers in arms never to be separated.
When I first saw Owen in that small cage with dozens of other cats cramed in around him covered in waste and with thier eyes and nose all gunked up with sickness my heart broke.
Thier life was built on death and clinging on to a miserable existence. Owen was a scrawny, sick and broken shell of a cat.
Daffy at the time was only a kitten so he didn't have to live like this for long, but he still suffered horribly from the flu. He dodged death as many more kittens then cats died there from the flu.
It took 6 months for the boys to recover from their flu and it was hard as antibiotics did nothing and they didn't just have the flu to worry about.
They both very healthy and happy now and it would take a lot to stress them out and cause the flu to break out again.
Daffy and Owen need a strictly indoor only home and they would love a outdoor enclosure to play in if possible.
Medical notes
Both boys suffered badly from chronic cat flu, but now have a very good immune system and have being healthy for the last year and a half.
They need a stress free environment.
Adoption details
All our cats and kittens come desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and parasite treated. Our adult cats and high risk kittens are tested for FIV/FELV.
Kittens come home to you around 12 to 13 weeks after being desexed if they are of appropriate weight and health at that time.
All our cats require indoor only homes for their safety and to protect the wildlife. An outdoor enclosure can be a safe way for your cat to experience the outdoors.
We have a number of transport services that can bring your new baby to you around QLD so distance is not an issue.
We do our best to make sure every cat gets the best home they can, but we have a life time returns policy for our adopted babies should they ever find themselves in trouble.
