Meet Gemma! 🐕
PERSONALITY:
Gemma is a sweet & cuddly girl who's looking for a patient and understanding home. She can be shy when meeting new people but has started to go up to new people to greet them in her foster home. She loves to play with other dogs and hang out with her furry foster siblings. Most of all Gemma loves being home with her trusted people, she loves to follow them around the house and cuddle up with them on the lounge. Gemma didn't have the best start to life and has been building her overall confidence in foster care while learning to trust people and new things. She is such a sweet & clever girl who has come such a long way since coming into foster care.
TRAINING: (sleep, toilet, crate training, commands/tricks, leash walking?)
Gemma knows her basic training such as "sit", "bedtime" & "come". She has good manners and rarely jumps up, she is house trained, sleeps all through the night in her crate and walks very well on a lead when she feels comfortable. She loves her furry foster siblings and follows their lead so she would suit a home with a friendly & confident dog. Gemma is continuing to build her confidence with; getting in the car, walking on lead, being tied up & being put outside when it is not her choosing.
PERFECT HOME: (are they tested on children, other dogs & animals, level of exercise, acerage/suburbia, need another dog?)
Gemma will fit perfectly into a patient home that is not too busy and has lots of love to give. She would suit a home with a couple or a family with older children. Her forever home must have another dog to help her build her confidence in new things. Gemma is looking for a home on property, out of noisy suburbia that is well fenced. She is currently in foster care with horses, cows and sheep. She's only interested in the sheep & cows if they run, otherwise she ignores them. If you think you have the love and patience to welcome this lovely girl into your home then we'd love to hear form you.

~As a working breed I will need lots of mental & physical stimulation. How to do
plan to meet those needs?
~ Have you done any training with other dogs? If so what training have you and
your previous/current dog completed?
~I will need additional vet work in my life time such as follow up
vaccinations etc, is this a problem?
~I will also need flea and worm treatments to keep me at my
optimum health, are you prepared for that?
~I've had a diet since being at the rescue of quality biscuits & raw, can you
guarantee to continue my current diet?
~ I am a good 10-20 years commitment are you 100% ready to
give me a home?

~A yard check or photographic proof of secure fencing, shelter & sleeping areas
will be required.
~A vet reference may be required.
