About Katie
Time in care: 2 years+
Foster carer needed
Miss Katie is my definition of chaotic neutral cattitude.
She avoids human contact, but is incredibly stubborn and keeps a straight face despite everything.
She often sits on the couch and when you sit next to her she will not move as that's her spot. For a timid cat she has her priorities set.
She doesn't have a mean bone in her body and you can pick her up and she will have a little huffy about it, but will allow you to hold her.
She becomes a little kitten at playtime and loves to run and run full speed ahead. She goes into a frenzy chasing the cat wands and throwing hands with the ping pong balls. Katie's all time favorite is the laser pointer however and she will run laps of the house chasing it and you have to give her little rests in between.
Katie gets along good with other cats but doesn't want to be involved with them and is very independent.
She is also good with dogs.
Katie wouldn't be good with children as she is a timid cat by nature.
Katie has being in care for over 2 years and needs a home so she can thrive and live her life to the fullest.
Medical notes
Katie experienced a stroke at the start of 2023 and lost everything, sight, smell, taste and forgot how to walk and eat. She could only move her head.
I helped with her daily functions and within a fortnight she began to sit up and gradually walk, then run. She loved playing with her fish wand and sitting by the fire during these times.
We haven't had any problems since, however Katie should be in a home having quality time, not still waiting.
Adoption details
All our cats and kittens come desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and parasite treated. Our adult cats and high risk kittens are tested for FIV/FELV.
Kittens come home to you around 12 to 13 weeks after being desexed if they are of appropriate weight and health at that time.
All our cats require indoor only homes for their safety and to protect the wildlife. An outdoor enclosure can be a safe way for your cat to experience the outdoors.
We have a number of transport services that can bring your new baby to you around QLD so distance is not an issue.
We do our best to make sure every cat gets the best home they can, but we have a life time returns policy for our adopted babies should they ever find themselves in trouble.
