About Simba - Located in Hawthorn
NEEDS TO BE THE ONLY CAT IN THE HOUSE.
Hello, fabulous folks! I'm the one and only, a hunky, spunky boy on the lookout for a cozy spot to call my own.
Now, about my preferred roommates – I'm thinking adults only, no need for any extra competition for my attention. I like to be the star of the show!
Picture this: charming feline marathon play sessions and those oh-so-soothing loud purring cuddles on the couch after a day of luxurious lounging. See my photos. All that’s missing from the couch is you – my new best friend.
I'm in the market for a stable household, you know, the kind with a well-established routine. I've got a taste for the finer things in life, and that includes a predictable schedule to keep my cool-cat vibes in check.
I come with a bit of a backstory – last year was a bit rocky due to some stressful times my human was going through. Stress got the best of both of us, and my poor bladder took the brunt of it. To keep me in tip-top shape, I'm on a special diet for urinary care. Like many humans, I've learned the importance of staying lean and having a solid daily routine to keep the stress at bay. So, if you're ready for a handsome, resilient companion who knows the value of a good routine and a loving home, I'm your guy. Let's embark on this journey of love and stability together! 🐾❤️

Medical notes
I am on a special diet for urinary care, as I had some serious urinary issues related to stress last year. To help prevent me from getting sick again I need to stay on this urinary care diet, keep lean, and have a solid daily routine so I don't get stressed.
WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
