About Simba - Located in Westmeadows
Hey there, magnificent humans! Simba here, your soon-to-be majestic house tiger, reporting for duty. Picture this: a handsome fellow with orange tabby stripes, a heart full of love, and a roar that says, "I am truly the king of this urban jungle."
Life has been a bit of a rollercoaster, but here I am, ready to pounce right into your heart. I've got this regal air about me, like a tiger who knows he's the cat's meow. But don't let the majestic exterior fool you; underneath these stunning stripes is a sweet boy who's just looking for affection and, of course, a good meal. I mean, who can resist the allure of gourmet delights?
I'm on the lookout for a calm and quiet kingdom to call my own, where I can be your loyal BFF and the valiant protector against the notorious dust bunnies lurking under the bed. I've got a refined taste, you see – I'll be your expert culinary critic, your work-from-home supervisor, and, most importantly, the official couch warmer.
Now, about my medical history – I've had a bit of a tough start, with a mended broken leg as my battle scar. But fear not, it doesn't slow me down; it just adds a touch of grounded charm to my majestic stride. So, let's make some memories together, shall we? I'm here to bring warmth, love, and a dash of royalty to your life. Are you ready for the grand entrance of the true king of your castle? Let the purr-fect adventure begin! 🐾👑

Medical notes
Simba fractured the femur bone in his right hind leg last year and had it surgically repaired in November. He has recovered well from the surgery, and is ready to get back on with his normal activities.
WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
