About Dee
Dee is a sweet dog who gets on well with other dogs... Currently while she is hanging out at BARC she is in a play group with other dogs and loving it. So if you have a dog at home that is in need of a new best friend then this is your girl.
Training is something that is recommended (something we recommend for all shelter dogs, which is why we offer 30 days free Petcademy support!), but because we think Dee is so special, we are offering 3 free training classes with BARC's own animal behaviorist to help get you started.
Dee is a super smart girl and she loves being around her people so this isn't something that will be hard to do.
Dee loves to play with her toys, especially basket balls which she can bat around the yard, and she loves her water too!
Older kids would be ideal for this sweet girl as she would love to be able to cuddle up with someone.
To book a meet and greet with Dee please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
