About Koko SUA012096
Say hello to Koko—a sweet, senior gentleman. Every bit as relaxed and affectionate as he is charming, Koko is a guy with a slower pace and plenty of love to give.
When it comes to character traits, Koko is the embodiment of serenity and sweetness. He enjoys simple pleasures like sleep and many, many cuddles. Being a veteran with years of wisdom and warmth under his belt, he values his rest times, but never says no to a loving snuggle session.
Koko prefers a quiet, slow-paced home, free from the lively rambunctiousness of young children or dogs. A serene, calm space would be the ideal environment for his laid-back lifestyle, granting him a chance to relax and just live his best life.
Armed with a story of resilience, on arrival Koko was diagnosed with Squamous Skin Cell Carcinoma. With the help of our veterinary team, he underwent a Bilateral Pinnectomy to remove the affected areas of his ears. Since then, he's been making steady progress and is on the road to recovery.
Considering his medical history, it is of utmost importance that Koko remains indoor-only to protect his ears from further potential sun damage. He wouldn't have it any other way, as long as he has his favourite comfy spot and humans who'd indulge him in warm cuddles and gentle petting sessions.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
