About Barney
Get ready to meet Barney, a delightful and spirited canine who is sure to put a smile on your face. He's an incredibly friendly pup who adores human companionship, giving and receiving love in equal measure.
Barney is an amiable dog who interacts well with both dogs, making him a popular playmate among our four-legged residents. He loves spending time outdoors just as much as he does indoors, striking the perfect balance between adventuresome and cozy.
Barney is brimming with affection for everyone, but he has a certain affinity for those who have a calm and laid-back lifestyle. His ideal companion would be a retired couple or a single person who can offer him lots of love and companionship. He's also great with kids over 10. Little ones will adore him too, but they'll have to remain sturdy on their feet as Barney's excitement might knock them over!
Barney absolutely adores spending time at the beach, where he's at his happiest. He enjoys long walks on the lead and looks forward to adventures in the car. He's always eager to go on a ride and will happily hop into the car when it's time to head out.
Despite his love for water adventures at the beach, he's not overly fond of the hose, which makes bath time an exciting mission! After a day of adventure, Barney loves to retire to his kennel for a good night's sleep.
Every day with Barney is a joy; he exudes infectious happiness and is eager to share it with you. Consider inviting Barney into your life if you love car rides, beach outings, plenty of cuddles, and have a child-friendly home. His outgoing spirit and loving heart make him a wonderful companion and family member.

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
