About Nuevo
Nuevo is an all round entertainer. She can have you laughing so hard you're holding your belly and is always up for a chat... seriously sometimes it sounds like she's speaking english!
Nuevo arrived into care at 9 weeks old after being stepped on, fracturing her front leg, she swiftly was taken for surgery and has spent the last month healing with her amazing foster carers. Super cute and super cuddly, Nuevo is most at home when she is with 'her people' or any people in actual fact, she's simply a social butterfly who thrives being the centre of attention.
Having spent a lot of her early life on crate rest, Nuevo is ready to take on the world, sometimes with a little too much enthusiasm, she can be very bitey (like all puppies) but does need continued work to redirect her chomps onto toys. Now that her leg is almost healed and she will be able to run and have more freedom we believe this behaviour will lessen. Nuevo LOVES belly rubs, is crate trained and her house training is going very well. She is eager to learn new skills (in exchange for snacks) and is obsessed with water, so trips to the beach will be a whole lot of fun with this little lady!
Nuevo can be a little bossy at times, she's simply a girl who knows what she wants but her list of demands are simple, snacks, pats, belly rubs and a paddle pool to play in! She is likely a Kelpie x Staffy that will grow into a medium sized dog!
MY IDEAL HOME: I like being around people and furry friends. I definitely need a yard because that's where I get all my energy out and I like to forage and explore before I settle on a nice sunny patch of grass to chew on my bark and leaves. I don't like being left alone all that much so a home with people around more often than not or the ability to have a dog walker or daycare during the day is ideal. My new family will be committed to ongoing training as I have a little catching up to do after being on restricted activities because of my broken leg.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: I am a people person! I like being around people and furry friends. I definitely need a yard because that's where I get all my energy out. I like to forage and explore before I settle on a nice sunny patch of grass to chew on my bark and leaves. I am not a huge fan of being left alone so please don't go to the office 5 days a week and leave me at home. Send me to a doggy daycare if you have to- I would much prefer to play with friends and exert all my energy so I'm nice and calm and cuddly for you when you get home. I'll happily sleep in the crate next to you but I much prefer to snuggle up in bed with you.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Right now, I would need to be supervised around little kids because my teeth are so sharp and I can puppy bite hard sometimes! I didn't get a chance to learn any manners and because of my broken leg, I haven't been allowed to attend puppy preschool. I'm great with bigger kids and I know with the right training and play, I'll be great with the little kids too.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I haven't met any cats before so I'm not sure how I'd be around them. But I love other dogs! I've had limited and controlled "quiet" play with a couple of my foster parents' fur friends and I played very well and respectful. They loved me too and when I'd bite their ankles, it didn't scare them off.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
