Look at that face, that sweet smiling face!

Imagine having that face looking at you adoringly every day. Well, good news, it could! This boy has found himself in care and is searching for a new home to call his own.

Artair is a big, goofy, loveable boy. Once he gets to know you, he loves nothing more than a snuggle, pressing his face into you to get as close as possible for some affection.

Still a puppy at heart, with an adorable cheekiness to him, Artair loves a to throw his toys around, a good game of tug and will tell you off if you exclude him from any family events. He is house trained and is working hard on his manners, he’s so excited to see you and meet new people he’s prone to jumping up for a cuddle, but is learning this isn’t ok at his large size, he knows he has to sit and wait patiently for affection.

Artair is best suited to a household with a large yard and resident dog that will be happy to play with him but will also be a good influence on him. He has a foster sister who he’s happy to be home alone with, but he doesn’t love being home by himself, but with a dog friend to guide him he’s learning it's ok. He is untested with cats and pocket pets. But has shown only excitement when seeing cats while on walks and has met a small maltese x that he loved playing with.

He has slept on the couch or on his own dog bed while in care. And loves snuggling up to his foster sister. He walks well on halti and is learning how to stay calm when meeting dogs on lead (he shows no reactivity - he’s just super excited to see other dogs).

Given his size, his new family would ideally be committed to ongoing obedience training, because although he is gentle and sweet, without a mean bone in his body, he is big and strong. He loves children and has met lots of babies and toddlers while in care, but is lanky, bouncy and clumsy, so older, big dog savvy kids would be a better match for him.
