Hey There Delilah, what’s it like in foster care?
Meet our beautiful 14-month-old girl Delilah who has spent the last 7 months in foster care, she is finally ready to find a forever home of her very own, and we are searching for the absolute best home for our little princess!
Delilah has been living the good life in foster care, she is queen of the couch, the bed, and wherever she chooses really, humans laps are for sitting, didn’t you know she is an over-sized lap dog? Delilah is a smoochy, affectionate girl that loves nothing more than to cuddle with her humans.
Delilah has been an inside dog with full access to her foster home, she is a typical German Shadow that follows you everywhere and wants to ‘help’ with whatever you are doing. Delilah must be allowed inside and included as part of the family in her new home, she would enjoy having her humans around more often than not.
Delilah is very clever and knows her basic commands, she is both food and toy motivated and loves to learn and part-take in training sessions with her humans, forming that strong bond. Delilah is still a big puppy and needs to fine-tune her manners, she still occasionally displays some puppy excitability and needs reminding of her impulse control. Delilah is looking for a home where everyone is over the age of 5 and who have experience with excitable large dogs.
Delilah LOVES other dogs, whilst she can be a little unsure when first meeting others out on a walk, at home she is obsessed with her foster siblings and would be constantly cuddling them if she could. Delilah is very dependent on other dogs and ideally, would have a doggy brother in her new home, one that is happy to play but also to give her boundaries and guidance.
Delilah has not been tested with cats or other small pets, she may be ok with slow introductions, however separation and gradual exposure would be needed.
Delilah is the goofiest, most fun-loving sweetheart that steals the hearts of everyone she meets, her foster carers are going to be extremely sad to see her go. Delilah can’t wait to show her new family her best sleeping positions, zoomies in the yard and expressive sighs and looks of disapproval when you aren’t sharing your dinner. This gorgeous girl really is everything you could ever want, a true German Shepherd, your best friend Delilah is waiting for you!

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
