About Star
Star is a stunning Kelpie x Border Collie female with a whole lot of love to give. Her fave things in life are people and her doggy pals and she makes it abundantly clear how much she loves being around them.
Star came into care skinny, shy and sad. She has blossomed into a loving, affectionate and playful girl who loves to join in the fun. Although she can be an active and energetic girl, Star is calm and well-mannered in the house. She is toilet and crate trained and recalls to her name. She travels well in the car and walks well on a leash. Star has come from a rural background so she can find surburbia a little bit new and scary so she will need her family to take the time to gain her trust and continue working with her to build her confidence.
Star loves other dogs and gains a lot of confidence from being with them. She would love another playful doggy sibling in her new home. Her new family must understand that as a working breed dog Star will need daily mental and physical stimulation and someone who is willing to continue her training and socialisation as well as provide gentle introductions to new experiences.
If you’re looking for a sweet, loving girl who'll love you wholeheartedly, please email your application in now!
Lots of licks and kisses, Star xx
Star is located in QLD.

You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa.
