About Apollo
Apollo, Apollo, where do we begin with Apollo!
2 year old Kelpie x Blue Heeler!! And boy is her the best looking guy out there.
Apollo is a blank canvas and is looking for a new forever home who will fill that canvas with a heap of new skills he can use to better his manners.
Full of energy and ready to take on the world with you, weather that be traveling the world or just heading out and exploring new things on the weekend with him best friends!
Are you looking at him and thinking to yourself... I think he may be a little to much for me, I wouldn't be able to leave him home alone!! Well the best part about this dog is, he can entertain himself and he LOVES doing it. We love watching Apollo in his play yard because well not only does her have a four legged friend he plays with BUT he also has a heap of toys that he throws around to him self and if his not doing that then he will go and find the toy he likes chewing on and just relax with that. So really why your out and about at work or just shopping with friends Apollo will enjoy his time at home with his toys, Balls, ropes, chew bones, soft toys, you name it and he will play with it.
Like a mentioned above, Apollo is in a play group with another dog here at the Shelter and he loves it. He is very respectful of the other dog and has no issues with hanging out by himself until his friend is ready to play again.
If you have kids at home they would just need to be use to the BIG bouncy boy he is and also have an AWESOME throwing arm because that is what will win this boy over...
So come on in and meet this wonderful handsome man and take home your new best friend..
To book a meet and greet with Apollo please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
