About Chestnut
Meet Chestnut, a loving cuddle monster who is seeking a calm and relaxed environment to call home. Armed with his charming personality and affinity for cheese toasties and puppacinos, Chestnut has won the hearts of all who meet him. This sweet boy, with so much love to offer, has cheeky eyes that hide a hint of mischief.
Chestnut adores the company of his human companions, contentedly soaking up the glories of good head rubs and scratches. A gentleman on car rides, he's great with children, radiating affection and sweetness. As an ideal companion dog, he's just looking for a peaceful setting where he can potter in the garden and enjoy the finer things in life.
While he is delightfully spirited, Chestnut comes with a minor health caveat due to arthritis from a cruciate injury that happened a few years ago. Management of his condition is straightforward and has involved in our vet giving him injections that provide medium to long term pain relief.
With a good diet rich in glucosamine, using food items such as sardines and oily fish, Chestnut will continue to live a long, pain-free life.
We keenly feel that Chestnut will do best in a quiet, stair-free home where he will not have to exert too much energy climbing stairs or jumping off high places. He would prefer not to share his home with cats, making him ideal for a cat-free environment. Chestnut is not a fan of cats! Chestnut does like to play with his toys and calm doggie friends.
Chestnut's calm demeanor and affectionate nature make him a perfect fit for a retired or middle-aged couple who can cater to his needs and provide a lifestyle more "whoa" than "go." As this wonderful boy potters around your home, you'll soon realise you could never live without his loving companionship.
