NOTE: You are unable to meet Cruiser until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Cruiser in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• BREED KNOWLEDGE IS PREFERRED
• Short regular walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• To be allowed inside with my family
• I enjoy the company of other med-large dogs, however I am not overly interactive with them so would be just as happy on my own
• I get very excited around small dogs and may accidently hurt them so a home with no smaller doggies is a must
• I arrived at the shelter as a stray so my history is unknown. Due to this, my interaction with cats that are free roaming in the house or yard is completely unknown. There can be no guarantee that I will be ok living with cats, In my behaviour assessment I seemed weary of them, so I am may ok with a dog savvy cat.
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention

Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car

My best features:
• Highly food motivated
• Gentle & placid
• I can sit and shake hands with both paws
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered boy
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• I walk well on lead but will pull if there is something of interest to me
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• Just a beautiful older man who deserves the world in my retirement
