About Peso
Named after the loveable Octonauts character; Peso is THE sweetest, teeniest little fellow we've had in a while and we just know he'll be your best mate for life!
He's a gorgeous mix of Maltese x Chihuahua and being a pup he'll adjust perfectly to your family, home and lifestyle. He's such a happy chappy who loves to trot at your heels wagging his curly little tail!
Even though he has a bit of growing left, Peso is a TINY fellow (2kg at present) and suits the inside life. Of course he loves the outdoors too, but his yard needs to be dog-proofed (no gaps) or else he could easily escape. He LOVES dog friends, but the size & temperament of your existing dog needs careful consideration as Peso is comparatively snack-sized to many breeds or could easily be injured with rough play from a large dog.
Peso has a lovely black and white, smooth coat which means he won't need clipping or any special grooming treatments. He is in a crate at night with no issues, happily toileting in the morning outside after being let out. He would need some more toilet training to be inside full-time, but he's well on the way and is showing all the right signs.
Though small, Peso is actually an ideal size to be an active family member- super light, easy to take anywhere, no anti-social behaviours to stress about and just generally hassle free. He won't need a strict or laborious exercise regime either.. out and about with you and following his people around the house or in the garden will be plenty.
Peso wouldn't take issue with cats, chooks, birds or other pocket pets given his small size and age- he'll quickly learn your routines and expectations. He will be fantastic with kids of all ages, however his small stature does mean that young children could unintentionally hurt him while playing or carrying him and should be considered by his new family.
>> Please note: Peso will be available for pick up from the 10/2 due to desexing. He is currently with a foster carer in Orange NSW.
If you can offer Peso a kind and loving home please send an enquiry through via PetRescue telling us a bit about yourself, your home and your lifestyle.
Medical notes
Peso is in excellent health. Vaccinations are up to date and desexing is booked for the 6/2/24.

Tell us about the home and lifestyle you can offer a dog.
We are interested in your family situation (who is in your family) their work/study hours, how long the dog would be left alone during a typical week.
What you can offer a dog in terms of activities, outings and training.
If you have other pets - in most cases we look favourably on a home with an existing dog or the possibility of adding another dog at a later stage (the exception would be if the dog being rehomed is not so good with other dogs).
Please also let us know where the dog will sleep and if it will be welcomed inside.
