About Isla ***Adoption Day This Sat***
**Adoption Day This Sat**
I will be at Adoption Day at Neko HQ Preston this Saturday 27/01. If you would like to meet me and lots of friends you need to apply online at http://www.neko.org.au/adoption-application/ for an appointment. Details at https://fb.me/e/1xXnwVJKQ OR you can apply now!
Hello there, world! I'm Isla, the sleek tabby sensation you didn't know you needed. I come with a side of beans – little peets that are just as lively as my spirit. Get ready, because I'm about to pounce on anything that moves, whether it's my mischievous siblings Imogen and Inigo or your unsuspecting ankles. I'm like a furry little ninja, stealthy and sneaky, always ready for the next adventure.
Chasing ribbons and jingle balls is my jam. Down the hall, around the bath – you name it, I'll conquer it with my feline finesse. Zoomies, you say? I'm the queen of the drift, leaving a trail of playful chaos in my wake. It's like a dance, but with more fur and less formality.
Now, when the zoomies wind down, and my energy level finally takes a breather, you'll find me curled up in your favorite spot on the couch or nestled in a cozy cat bed. Because every furry ninja needs her beauty rest, right?
So, if you're in the market for a delightful dose of tabby charm, a companion for ribbon-chasing escapades, and a queen of the drift, look no further. Isla's the name, and I'm here to bring joy, laughter, and a whole lot of fuzzy love into your world. Let the playful adventures begin!

WORLDWIDE CAT VACCINE SHORTAGE
There is currently a worldwide shortage of cat vaccines and supplies are unlikely to be replenished until early 2024. This is due to complicated supply problems post-COVID. Our vets have limited, and in some cases no supplies available, but are prioritising kittens and previously unvaccinated Cats wherever possible.
Kittens are at the highest risk as their level of protection is very low after the initial protection provided by the mother’s antibodies. While protection will wane a little over time, a delay up to three months is unlikely to result in a significant reduction in levels of protection. It is anticipated that clinics should have regular supplies early in the new year to bring your cat back up to date.
First Vaccination completed
We will try to provide at least 1 vaccination, depending on our supplies of vaccines available, however boosters may become overdue. In this case it is your responsibility to contact your vet as soon as supplies become available. We will not be re-imbursing any of this costs.
We require all cats and kittens to be indoors only and not allowed outside. This is especially important now as there is a risk of coming into contact with unknown cats who may not be vaccinated.
No Vaccination completed
Where we are unable to provide any vaccination during their time in care with us, please contact us on 0459779888 or via email to samantha@neko.org.au, and we will arrange for one vaccination to be done at one of our partnering clinics as soon as supplies are available. Boosters after this will be your responsibility.
Please note that should you choose to utilise your own clinic, we will not be re-imbursing any costs. This is your responsibility.
