About Woody *On Trial*
*woody is currently trialling his new home* super-friendly pup woody has been described by his carer as a little “clown” who gets a kick out of keeping the household entertained for hours on end!!!!
this handsome boy was recently rescued by sarg from our local pound and has settled in really well into care. Woody gets along with his carers dogs and has played a major role in bringing tilly, a shy timid little shih tzu x who’s also available for adoption, out of her shell (the below video features woody and tilly who we think might be a little bit in love!). This happy, confident pup is friendly and affectionate with humans of all shapes and sizes. He does chase his carers cats though wouldn’t hurt them and what he especially loves is when the tables are turned and the cats chase him!!! this little pocket-rocket can turn any situation into a fun-filled game!
woody loves being on your lap for cuddles or lying on his back watching tv. He is learning to sit using treats, walks well on a lead, comes to a whistle and already knows the name we have given him. He’s doing well with his toilet-training (nearly there) and sleeps in a basket beside his carers bed at night, well most nights as his carer often wakes to this cheeky monkey sprawled on his back on the human’s bed snoring away – he’s very quiet and sneaky during the night!
woody is low-maintenance only requiring an occasional brush and he’s not fussy when it comes to food and weighing in at just over 4kgs he’s a terrific “take anywhere” size. Daily walks or runs around the yard, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep woody stimulated are also a necessity so he doesn’t get bored and up to mischief. We’ve played it safe calling woody a “terrier x” though he may even have some papillon in him with those feathery-ears and the way his tail curls over his body. Woody would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a friendly doggie companion to play with (perhaps tilly???) or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially during his settling in period. If this spunky little character sounds like the perfect companion for you then please contact sarg for an application now!!!
