About Hippo
*In foster care in Blacktown, Sydney*
Hippo is a real people person - hugely affectionate, a great supervisor while you work and the perfect hang-out buddy during your downtime!
Her favourite things are snuggling in close, stealing your food, and playing raucous games with her foster brother Moo.
A natural entertainer, gorgeous Hippo will make an amazing addition to any family!
Like all Maggie's pets, Hippo is microchipped, desexed and vaccinated.

MY IDEAL HOME: ... will adore my for my cuddly nature, but also respect my need for time alone so I can observe, grow and learn! (And play - gotta get in lots of play!)
I'm obsessed with food, and in my short life so far I've already stolen the dog's chicken wing and growled at my foster mum when she tried to retrieve it, and been sprung in the pantry making my way through the kitten biscuits :)
MY ENERGY LEVEL: High - especially at night! Bits of fluff are my favourite prey. During the day I find myself a nice comfy place to snooze, and sneak in the occasional grooming session with my foster brother.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I'm living with a nice eight-year-old child in my foster home, and I enjoy sitting on his lap! I'll definitely be best suited to kids who are gentle with me.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: My foster brother Moo is the best! I do get possessive of food though, and will need to be separated from other cats at meal times so I don't steal all the goodies in my sight...
There's also a greyhound and a cattle dog in my foster home and they've never bothered me. From a young age I've learnt to stand my ground!

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two-week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
