About Booma
BOOM!! Just like that it is 2024 and if you are reading this, you may be thinking this is the year to add to your family. Well, do we have a BOOMing great dog for you to consider!
Booma is a 7 month old kelpie x who through absolutely no fault of his own, found himself scared and very shut down in a noisy, busy city pound. Poor Booma was there for 8 weeks before he was able to be busted out in to foster care, where he is learning that life can be fun and people and other dogs are awesome.
Booma is a very intelligent boy and is showing fabulous ability to focus and learn. He is super food motivated and as a result training is proving to be easy. Booma loves the attention and confidence training gives him. A commitment to ongoing training with this young smart dog will be essential, to ensure he becomes the bestest boy possible.
Booma gets on well with all the resident dogs at his foster home, has so far ignored the chickens, but has not been tested with cats. He can be timid with new people and can take a little time to warm up. We think a quiet home may suit him best, young children may overwhelm him. Booma is very happy pottering alongside his foster mum doing chores around the garden. He will wander off to investigate elsewhere, but continually checks back in with a lick and a cuddle. He loves a bone and gets enormous pleasure from his wobbler Kong food dispenser.
He is a genuinely sweet dog who has had a rough start, but shows enormous resilience and finds the joy in everything. Be quick to apply for this little gem!
