About Foxy - 9 Week Old Kelpie (Trial)
Introducing Foxy who is a 9-week-old male Kelpie.
Foxy is a thriving little warrior pup who is confident and has a delightful, inquisitive nature. He is a Velcro pup, always the first to arrive at the dinner table, always there to greet your every move.
Every day is an adventure for Foxy, who is often seen rumbling in the grass and under the cubby house with his brother Billy and sister Pepper (also both available for adoption). Foxy’s 2y/o large breed foster sibling has been teaching him everything that he needs to know about the world.
He is a very content pup and has been exposed to various outings, loud sounds, small humans, cats, big dogs, and crowds. Foxy takes the world in his stride.
Foxy and his siblings have had the freedom of choice between inside or outside play but prefers the wide-open spaces of the yard, often taking a snooze in the shade of a tree. Foxy quickly mastered the dog-door and is both toilet trained, and crate trained. He is also beginning to recognise his name and comes when called. Such a clever little pup! We have also been learning basic sit and stay commands with lots of success.
Foxy will grow into a medium sized dog. Kelpies have a double coat with a short, dense undercoat which will require weekly brushing to keep it manageable. Kelpies are bred as working dogs and are known to be highly intelligent, devoted, and super loyal to their family. Regular rigorous exercise and mental stimulation will be imperative to Foxy’s wellbeing. We are seeking a family or individual who will embrace him into their lifestyle so that he can continue to thrive in this way.
Foxy’s adoption fee is $700 which includes his desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms and is microchipped.
Foxy and his two siblings are in foster care in Singleton, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland, and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.
