About Guppy
** IN FOSTER CARE IN WOLLI CREEK**
Guppy is a mischievous, sensitive, stunning little red head with ears she's yet to grow into. This sweet angel baby arrived in quite the state leading to the amputation of the end of her tail but never fear it only makes her even more unique and doesn't effect her otherwise.
Guppy is currently living in a multi-dog household and has gained a lot of confidence, she still is on the more shy side of the spectrum so requires a family invested in continuing to boost her confidence and go at her own pace. She is wicked smart, loves to learn new things and is incredibly food motivated.
Guppy's leash training is going well and she loves to tear around the garden, rolling around on the lawn and coming inside for a proper deep sleep which is often performed belly up! She is comfortable in a pen and is doing well with being left alone when required. She is truly going to make someones life all the more bright by being in it.
MY IDEAL HOME: Guppy would best suit a home on the chilled side, whilst she does LOVE a good rumble and adventure, she can be spooked by too much action and loud noises. She is likely best with someone who has a bit of dog experience who can continue to open up her world and show her how much fun it can be. A family committed to ongoing training is essential so she can show everyone just how awesome Bully Breeds can be!
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Guppy like most puppies snoozes a lot however it is safe to assume as she grows, she will need a good daily adventure and enrichment opportunities. Whilst she won't have the energy of a kelpie or a malinois, she will be a fairly active girl who needs an active family.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: Guppy has met children and they do make her a little scared, so whilst she builds her confidence kids 12 and up are best.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: Guppy currently lives in a house with dogs big and small and gets along with all of them, she can play very rough and is best with a dog that has a bit of chill so play doesn't become too much. She has met cats and is a bit excited about them but with some clever management and a peaceful intro we can't see an issue with her sharing a home with a cat.
Adoption details
We ask all people looking to adopt to fill in our adoption enquiry form.
For Cats: https://form.jotform.co/92940837256870
For Dogs: https://form.jotform.co/80677377750872
Please use these links rather than the 'Enquire' button on the pet's PetRescue profile to streamline your enquiry.
Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
