Hey everyone! My name is ‘leave it alone!’ but I guess you can call me by my government name which is Archy!

Nature
I’m just your big typical ginger cat! I’m chaotic, always up to no good, believe all food is mine and I hoard toys. When I’m not seeking out snacks, I absolutely love attention!
I’m an extra big boy and it’s sometimes uncomfortable being held so I sometimes give a little hiss if you try picking me up for cuddles as I’m not a huge fan. I love attention though so please don't mistake my hiss to mean no pats. I love a good rub across my back and will freeze in my tracks if you brush my back.

I’m a bit of a greedy boy with food (if my belly didn’t already give that away 😹). I demand more and more food, so you have to be strong not to cave in to my demands. I know it’s for my own good but food is just so delicious. I do need to be fed away from all other animals as I will gobble down my food in 10 seconds flat and claim all other food around.

Companions (Children, Cats & Dogs)
I have met younger kids and haven’t had any trouble with them as my ‘no cuddle’ rule has been respected. A family with kids who have an understanding of my boundaries should be okay.

I live with a fair few other cats and at times it can be overwhelming, but it’s generally pretty nice. I do like them all and get along fine with them. Honestly though, I love attention more than cats so I really could be happy as an only cat or with cat friends.

I’ve seen the resident dog through a window and let me tell you, I do not care for him one bit so a home where a dog isn’t in my space would be okay.

Likes / Dislikes
I love love love toys! My belief Is that I’m a big boy because my heart couldn’t contain the love I have for toys. I’m the most playful boy in the whole wide world, toys are pretty much everything to me. My foster parents are yet to find a toy I don’t go crazy for, anything with bells sends me into crazy cat mode! Apart from toys, I consider myself to be a foodie, despite my strict diet.

I’m not bothered by noise or young kids, and guests are just another pair of hands to pat me with so I’ll of course be happy if you have visitors over!

My PURR-fect home would be with snacks, the biggest collection of toys, a constant hand for attention, a cat friend or just my hoomans, oh and let’s not forget snacks! I look forward to meeting you and finding my fur-ever home.

Archy’s adoption fee includes vet check, sterilisation, vaccination*, microchip, flea and worm treatment.

*Vaccinations are subject to availability due to a worldwide vaccine shortage. Our adoption team will notify you if the cat/kitten you apply to adopt has NOT been vaccinated.

Medical Notes: Archy previously had a urethral (urinary) blockage which was caused by a buildup of crystals in the bladder. He underwent surgery to remove the blockage and has recovered well. He requires a special diet of prescription urinary food (Hills C/D Stress wet food) and needs to be encouraged to drink water. He may or may not get another urinary blockage in future which will require urgent medical attention. A quiet, low stress home will help reduce the chance of further urinary blockages. Archy is currently being medicated once a day for anxiety, he may or may not be able to be weaned off of this medication in a low stress home. It is recommend he continues to have Cystophan (a urinary supplement) for life.
