About Lilly
Introducing Lilly, a 1-year-old Maremma Sheepdog who is more than ready to find her new family. Lilly may be a bit shy on initial interactions, but the love and affection she extends once she warms up to you is worth the wait.
Our experience with Lilly has revealed her to be a very gentle and playful spirit. She gets along fabulously with her doggie foster siblings and would thrive in a home with another dog who she can play and bond with.
Lilly is crate-trained and comfortable sleeping in her crate at night. She also adores her daughter, Willow, and they've formed quite an inseparable duo, often seen playing in the grass together or enjoying a peaceful nap in close proximity.
Though she hasn't had direct interaction with livestock, Lilly has shown a healthy curiosity towards cows, observing them at a distance without provoking or chasing them. It's evident that she's a true country dog, with a deep love for wide open spaces.
Lilly enjoys car rides, where she either peacefully naps or watches the world go by from the window. She adjusts well to new environments. Among other qualities, Lilly exhibits an innate instinct to protect those in her care. She will alert you when someone has arrived.
All in all, Lilly is an affectionate, protective, slow-eating country girl who loves car rides, belly rubs, and has a knack for forming beautiful canine bonds. Wouldn't you love to be the next one she bonds with?

This is in no way an obligation to adopt but simply gives us some more information about the home, family and lifestyle you have to offer a new pet.
As of 2017, Fresh Start Rescue are no longer placing dogs in homes with children under the age of 9 years old. We know this will frustrate many families looking to adopt, however for the safety of both those families and are beloved dogs, we have decided to put this measure into place.
