Hello everyone and greetings!
As you can see from my name, I can be the black and white minstrel show or a Scot, take your pick!
l am, vaccinated, desexed and all worming up to date. My carer says I am a very easy dog to have around the house and am happy to sleep all day if my humans are around. I sleep well and will wee on command before bedtime, (party trick!) and I try to be helpful.
I have had some good basic training and will come when called and will sit, stay and wait when told to. I will sit and wait for my food and even allow my carer to take my food away without a fuss. I am currently learning how to walk beside my carer and have heard it said “I am pretty good!” I respond to a tug if I pull away and can come back to heel most of the time. I will stop when my walker stops.
I was brought up with a small child (now 5) and there have been no problems there. I am very nervous of new people and situations and quite timid. I can get nervous out walking when near traffic and around strange sounds and when sights happen and that is when my tail goes between my legs. I love the beach and am happy there but I would be best in a house where I am the only dog or a male dog is present as I can fall out with other female dogs when I try to be assertive.
I love my walks in the morning, and sometimes we go out in the evening for a short walk before dinner time as well. I am very quiet inside and outside the house, and only bark if I hear or see something. Because of my timidity I do not try to get out of the door but stay back and wait until told to come.
I do not dig holes in the garden and can be left both inside and outside for several hours with no problems. I do occasionally like to take a shoe outside, but don’t chew them. I may well be a good watch dog as well. I am looking for someone to show me the world and let me be their friend and companion. Could that be you?
