About Calvin *On Trial*
*calvin is currently trialling his new home* how adorable is calvin???? he even has a soft-gentle nature to match those good looks. . . . . . . . How he ended up unclaimed in our local pound we will never know but he’s safe with sarg now and looking for a special home of his own!!!
calvin is a cruisey, well-behaved pup who is proving to be a very bright boy! he loves pats and cuddles as well as romping around with his carers other dogs especially an adult female heeler that he’s taken a shine to. He’s met his carers cats without any dramas, calvin just wanted to play gently with them. Calvin doesn’t jump all over you and isn’t licky and would be terrific with children of all ages as he is so soft for such a young pup. He loves play time and is very food orientated which will help with his training. There is some debate over the breeds that make up this beautiful boy – the pound went with a safe bet and advertised his breed as “no information” whereas our vets think maybe kelpie/heeler/terrier x yet he reminds us of 2 lovely koolie x pups we rehoused last year and perhaps there’s some staffy thrown in too for good luck! whatever breeds this little “heinz 57” pup is they all work beautifully together to make calvin a very well-balanced young pup! one thing we do all agree on is he’ll be medium in size once he finishes growing. While in care calvin will learn the basics such as “sit” and how to walk on a lead and as he’s only a young pup he will require ongoing obedience training as well as socialisation with other dogs so he grows up to have lovely manners! daily walks, secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to keep him stimulated are also a necessity so he doesn’t get bored and up to mischief. Calvin would be best suited to an indoor / outdoor lifestyle with either a doggie companion to learn from or on his own but only if he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially while he’s a pup. If you think you’ve got the time, patience and love to bring up adorable calvin then please contact sarg for an application now!!
