Maxine

Maxine is an 8 month old Kelpie x Koolie female with a beautiful silky coat.

She is a smart and attentive girl who loves to explore and has a willingness to please. Very affectionate with a calm demeanour. Best friend and side kick.

She has that spark and a bit of sass that people who know and love working breeds tend to be drawn to and is growing up to be a fabulous dog.

Maxine is looking for an active family that have some experience with working breed dogs.
She is a high energy and high drive girl and she will require a lot of physical and mental exercise on a daily basis. She is not suited to a backyard. Maxine is looking for an active family that have some experience with working breed dogs, she is very much a farm dog and needs humans who are happy to continue to engage in continued training.

She gets along with everyone and is good with other dogs of all shapes and sizes. In her foster home she lives with another pup who have become good friends, two other older kelpies and an old dog. Not sure if she has met cats yet, but given the right guidance there is no reason she couldn't live with one. She has been introduced to horses and is fine with them.

She comes from a farm but didn’t seem to have any basic training like sit. Within a week, she learnt to sit, wait, stay (temporarily) and is now crate trained.
She loves a splash around in the dam and is teaching herself to swim.
