Hi, my name is Easter, but my Foster Mum calls me Easter bunny or bun-buns.
I’m a bright-eyed, bushy, tailed young man, 12½ years young. I am loving, playful and love going for walks and exploring. I walk so beautifully on my harness and lead.
I eat anything you put in front of me, but I love chicken and mince and raw chicken wings/necks.
When I first arrived into care I was a bit withdrawn and spent my time under the kitchen table, but my Foster Mum didn’t push me. She let me decompress in my own time and let me know I was safe and loved. I still spend a little time there, it's so nice and cool to lie on the tiles.
If there is a thunderstorm I will hop onto your lap and snuggle in, or I will curl up close to you on the bed. I am not terrified but just don't like storms much - way too noisy.
I will need to be brushed almost every day as I have the most beautiful long, fluffy fur, and my tail is a work of art, even if I do say so myself. I am very proud of it, and I love to show it off by wagging it all the time. My FM tells me how cute I am all the time and what a good boy I am. The only time she gets a bit growly is when I play in the water bowl. I love to get my feet in there and dig all the water onto the floor – it’s so much fun for me.
I am completely toilet trained and will go outside even if it's raining. My FM always has a door open, so I can go out whenever I want.
I get on well with other dogs, and cats don't bother me at all. I am also great with young people. When I bark, I’m not too loud, and sometimes I like to howl, but it is the best raspy sound ever. I do like to chat to you sometimes.
To sum up, I am a perfect gentleman. I would love to find a forever home with someone who is home most of the time. An older person or couple would be perfect. My FM says that whoever I choose will get the best little companion ever.
Medical notes
Easter has a heart murmur which does not require medication at this stage.
